Finishing up March....

My sister took Carter to the movies the other evening, so Jake and I went on a date with just little Brax. I have to admit, it's nice to have just one. (You forget what it's like)
This little dude had never been to Buffalo Wild Wings....so off we went.
One random Tuesday, Jake got off at the same time I did so we both picked up the boys and took them out to one of our favs....Taxas Roadhouse. There was the armadillo there that evening and an egg hunt....Carter got a free kids' meal token and Brax kept talking about the "momadilla."
Last Saturday my work flew in the Easter Bunny to the Base Egg Hunt....it was so much fun! Jake came with me too because were hoping the boys would be there too. They were with their dad that weekend.

Easter Celebrations.....

This Easter  Jake and I didn't have the boys.....so we were able to go to an hunt at St. Paul's the weekend before. They had so many fun things planned for the families.
There was a cookie decorating station....

There were crafts as well....little Brycen was all about being on Uncle Jake's lap with the iphone.
The older three actually listened to the real meaning of Easter taught by Pastor Christ.....that's right I said Christ.
Cambrieal spent the night with us the night before....I did this ponytail in her hair that morning....everyone who knows me should be very proud of that!
We then ran some errands....with all three....
That night during Halo Night the girls and I stuffed over 400 eggs for the kid Easter Egg hunt the next day.
Here's the little dude at Grandma and Grandpa Eskelsen's during an awesome Easter Egg Hunt.

Brycen was preoccupied getting rocks instead of eggs.....
This year to make it fair, we had each kid have their own color of egg so that Carter's were harder to find and Brycen's were easier, plus everyone got about the same amount. It was brilliant.

Carter and Braxton's First 4Wheelers.....

These little boys are sure spoiled....Grandpa Kent bought each of them their very own 4wheeler.....and man were they stoked!

Jake was so good to show each of them how they work and what to do to turn it on and such......

So fun! I can't wait to be able to really go out with them now...the weather is finally getting warmer.

Medical Theme Party....

Jake's cousin Jamie has been a huge help in planning my bridal shower, bachelorette/bachelor party and Jake's birthday....so when it came time for her birthday, I knew I had to do something big.
Plus her husband was gone in Iraq and she really needed some extra love that week.
She's going to school for radiology, so I went with a "medical theme."

There was a hand in our blood.....
 Jello with coordinating spoons....
 clogged arteries...... (filled twizzlers)
 Meds...

 Thermometers...
 cotton balls.... (marshmallows)
 Happy pills......and popcorn filled gloves.....
It was so much fun to put this together.....my sister and mother in law were huge helps too.

St. Patty's Day....

This year I found some cute little printables online for St. Patrick's Day. I thought it would be fun (and good practice) for the cousins to "find" their special treasures left for them from the leprechaun.
Because I didn't have the boys on St. Patrick's Day, we celebrated a week earlier.

Jake read each clue as the kids ran around the house and found them....

it was pretty cute....

Family Math Night....

Carter's school had their annual Family Math Night. I took the boys and was so excited to see what the teachers had put together for us. My mom has been in charge of her school Family Math Night before and I've helped her set up and run it, so I was thrilled to see what we were in store for.
Although it was fun hanging out with the boys, I have to admit I'm not impressed with his school or teachers at all.

They fed us pizza, like the crap you get at school lunch.....and the games were way lame....but the time at Carter's school and to see how proud he was to show us everything was worth it.

FatCats....Eskelsen Style...

After Anderson's birthday, the four of us met up with Jake's whole family at FatCats. It was so fun to watch everyone on the bumper cars....the kids did so well.

I was surprised at how well Cambrieal did....Brax and Carter have plenty of practice on them....so it was so nice to see everyone enjoying themselves.

Anderson's Birthday....

Braxton's best friend at school, Anderson, turned 4 last month. His birthday party was at Get Air in Roy....we had never been there before and I have say....it was awesome.

I'm pretty sure Jake was more excited than the kids.....

It was so fun watching them run, jump and dive into the foam pit.
This was Jake's first time ever going to a "friend" birthday party with kids....I have to say, he did so well. Playing with the boys and really having a good time showing them things is one of his strong points.
Here's cute Anderson....I have to say, Brax and this little dude are inseparable. They are the cutest together....but I'm sure the mischief gets worse when they conspire together.

Doing tricks and watching them on play back was the fav...
It snowed majorly while we were in there....this is Jake's white hair after he got done digging out the car.

YMCA

The YMCA after school program hosts a family night every month....it's actually a really fun time for everyone. This was "chili and games" night. The boys and I had a great time. Poor Jake had to work late that night.
Brax made some new friends and they all ran around the gym playing monster tag.
I just love my little boys.

Carter's Loose Tooth....

Carter had his first loose tooth.....he was so excited...and it really was super loose when he showed me. I was afraid it was going to fall out when he was eating.

One night after family dinner Jake tried to tie some floss around it so that Carter could try to pull it out....he has the tiniest teeth though.

We tried a few times, but no luck.

Valentines....

I try every year to make the boys' valentines that they can write their name on. I also try to make something new and creative each year with them as well.
This year the boys have been really into the Avengers and Super Heroes....so here's what we created...
Both Carter and Brax wrote their names on every one.....Carter has a huge class plus an after school program and cousins.....Brax has a preschool class and also daycare class....so we were busy doing a few of these each night.

I have never gone to an event at Braxton's daycare (because they get parents work) but when he heard that I was going to Carter's Valentine's party....he asked in his sweet little voice if I was going to his party too....how could I honestly say no to him? Here's the happy little dude....

I also got the chance to go to Carter's award ceremony for the second quarter. He was so surprised to have him there. I miss so much usually with his school, so it was a nice surprise to go to this.
