The Ending of a Milestone....

Carter has just finished his first year of Kindergarten. I couldn't be more proud of the little dude. He went to all day Kindergarten and then an after school program until 5:30 everyday while I worked. They were long days, stressful days, but some of his favorite days so far.

We've been making strides to get where we are today, and one of the new things that we've implemented in our home is going to church. (I took a break after I got divorced) It's been a great change for the boys as well....look how handsome our studs are....

Brax and Carter's cousin Cambrieal goes to our Ward too...and these two are too cute together.
I tried to do some fun things with the boys in honor of Carter graduating....we made candy graduation caps and diplomas.....

The boys thought it was pretty cool that they got to eat them after they were done making them.

I am so proud of my Carter and how much he has done! Hopefully his days can be shorter and more family time can be spent for first grade.
I've also been way impressed with Braxton. He has been so sweet with our little Chewy. Chewy hurt his paw the other day and was resting on the couch....Brax went upstairs and got a book and began reading it to him. It was seriously really precious. He is growing up to be such a cute boy who really cares about others.
Carter lost a total of 2 teeth so far....and his gap is getting bigger.
I was also able to take them to the movies on his last day of school. We saw Epic and both boys were thrilled. Julia met us there, which was a fun treat too. I don't remember the last time I was able to go to the movies with my little guys.

Here's to an amazing summer!

The Great Outdoors.....

Jake had a week off last month...and we definitely made the most of it. He loves to be outdoors enjoying the amazing mountains we have in Utah....so of course a day of 4wheeling was necessary.
His dad bought the boys their very own 4wheelers a little while back and this was the first day of actually riding them in the "wild."
Blake, Shauna, Brycen, Adam and Jamie all came with us to enjoy the gorgeous day.
Brax loves his 4wheeler...and Jamie.
Carter was so brave and rode pretty much all of the trail and such all by himself. I had to help a few times...mainly because I was nervous....but it went really well.

For Christmas, Jake bought me my very first gun. I love my pink camo....and it's honestly a the perfect gun for me. We had some fun shooting at targets...the boys thought it was pretty cool watching their mom shoot.
There was this level area where we let the boys take off and do whatever they wanted on the 4wheelers....I thought Brycen would want a piece of the action.....apparently not. Such a cute boy....but as soon as he was all the way seated he wanted right off.

These two people....are two of my absolute favorite people in the whole world. And they are both leaving me for the Air Force in a few months. I am honestly so proud of both of them, but am going to miss them like crazy. Aunt Ju Ju and Uncle Jimmy have been there for me and the boys through some of the hardest times in our lives. I will forever be grateful that they are in my life.

Brax and I went on an adventure with Grandpa Steve and Ju Ju while Carter was in school one day. Out in Syracuse they have a cool bird refuge...it was fun to take Brax and show him everything there. We did however, get locked in and had to call the police to come save us.....super interesting day.

Coach Pitch.....

Carter started Coach Pitch this year....and he's actually done really well! I've tried really hard to keep getting him into different sports and trying out new ones to see what he likes best. So far I think he's getting the hang of it.
Jake has been amazing in helping Carter (I'm not athletically inclined) so it's been really good for Carter to have someone with "skills" show him what to do.

He's been getting better each game...it's been so fun to watch him progress. Brax has been great at cheering on his big brother too.

Chewster......

Jake surprised me for Mother's Day with this adorable little guy! Chewy the Yorkie. I adore this little man....he's 5 pounds and 5 months old. He is absolutely the best little dog ever! He fits so well with our little family.
The boys have been so good with him too...it's actually surprised me at how well they have done with him. And Mr. Chew has been really good with them as well. It's been so fun having him join our family.

Summer Time......Love it!

I am sooo glad it's summer time. The weather has finally gotten better and we have not missed a chance to be outside. Brax is obsessed with mowing lawns....this is no exaggeration....he gets mad when we mow without him even! Super funny. Cousin Adam knew how much Brax loves to mow and invited the little three year old over to mow with him. It was priceless!
This is what he looked like pulling out of their driveway....the little man was exhausted!
I've also been doing a ton of yard work.....but sometimes the branches get the best of me. I looked like a "cutter"....sad but true. :)
The River Parkway is one of my absolute favorite places to take the boys. We apparently have to go pee around the same spot along the trail.....so here are the silly boys. Brax even refers to this spot as our "potty spot." Awesome.
We have fires and roast marshmallows at least once a week around here. It's so nice having the huge field behind us to "gather" our wood for the fires.
The boys love their playground....and I love watching them play together.

Oh Brax.....

Braxton......how much fun this little guy and I have been having. We have changed so much lately, I now get to stay home with the boys. I was able to put in my notice 2 weeks before Carter's school finished...so that gave Brax and I some rare alone time.
This little dude has been so much fun to hang out with. I've never had time with just Brax, so it was a nice treat for the both of us to have.
