State Fair Tradition Continues....

The Utah State Fair ended last weekend.....I have been taking my boys to the fair since Carter was small. It's been a tradition that I haven't missed, and will continue...this is the first year that both boys went to the Fair together....2009
Now these two are HUGE! I love watching them grow up.
The little hands on the farm is my favorite part...
Carter did the slide for the first time this year all by himself. He's becoming quite the brave little guy lately. Brax got to ride it for the first time this year....Jake was kind enough to go with him so I could take the pictures.
This was one of the best rides for kids there. It was actually pretty clever...and the boys had a blast.
Going along with the bravery streak Carter has been on lately, he wanted to do the jumping ride. This seriously scared me, but he loved every minute. I'm so proud of the little man and how big he's becoming.
We took the kids to Lagoon after the fair (season passes makes it nice to do that) and they had a blast going the kiddie rides.
It was a great day for us!

Dinosaur Park....

Ashley and I got the kids together at the Dinosaur Park the other day. It's been awhile since our kids have played together....which is a little sad because we used to see each other just about daily before they moved.
Ashley and I miss our girl chat too....so this was a really nice treat for all of us.
I just love how well our foursome gets along with each other. They've pretty much grown up with each other,  and it's been fun watching them come into their own.
Here are the oldest ones.....Carter and Hunter are such good buddies!
This was Braxton's favorite part of the whole park.
It ended up that it was a Day for Kids, so admission was free. I called Jake's mom so that she could bring little Cambrieal out with us too. She is just the cutest!

The boys and I were at the park for about 4 hours that day....needless to say...they fell fast asleep that evening early. Love it!

Cherry Coke Night.....

I planned a whole night revolving around Cherry Coke for the boys. Their cute friends came over to the house to join us for the evening. (Are these girls not the cutest ever?)
We started our adventure for the night with a dance contest. These girls really know how to move...and the boys were learning some really cute tricks too.
I made hamburgers with a special recipe that included Coke in the meat mixture. All I can say is....man was that juicy! They were the best burgers I've made so far.
Next were the Cherry Coke cupcakes....
These were as fun to make as they were to eat. (I had a minor issue with the frosting) but they were a fun activity to keep the kids busy.
All four kids really liked making them. The littlest one even tried to "drink" the cupcake through the straw I put in it. Super funny!
I thought four kids was going to be a handful....but it turned out that they were absolutely perfect. They played so well with each other and were so cute doing things as a big group. Come over anytime girls!
